Complementary projects are at the heart of building a sustainable Blue Economy.
The State Department for the Blue Economy and Fisheries @Blue_Economy_F through Kenya Marine Fisheries and Socio-Economic Development Project (KEMFSED), we are going beyond fishing to invest in seaweed farming, aquaculture, value addition, and small enterprises.
These initiatives are designed to:
โ๏ธ Diversify livelihoods
โ๏ธ Increase household incomes
โ๏ธ Reduce pressure on our fisheries resources
Because a strong fisheries sector is not just about what we catch,itโs about the opportunities we create around it.
