@jimknight99 I use Doodle—the Group Poll, which is a free feature. I propose date and time options, and then I send the link to the other participants. Once a time is selected, Doodle books the timeout calendars.
Please send thoughts and prayers for Maximus. After a trip to the emergency vet last night, he was diagnosed with Boxer cardiomyopathy syncope. He is now on medication and has a referral to a cardiologist in Towson. Tedster is so happy to have his brother back home—as am I. ❤️
When most people share an article on Facebook, do they actually click the article and read it prior to sharing? Because scrolling through my newsfeed makes me think I need to rework how I instruct reading a non-fiction text.. or maybe I should just befriend the unfollow button.
@BargeIntoClass @rtquinn Guys, I can’t even handle watching my own videos back, and those are the best copies! You’re basically asking me to publicly shame myself. 🤣
At the end of this year, I’d like to rewatch all my deleted Screencastify takes. It’s essentially like having my own bloopers reel—the teaching 2020 edition.
You can tell a teacher to take the weekend off, to push school to the side, to avoid email, and to avoid 12-14 hour days...but they will tell you that most of the time, being highly effective in their role requires them to use their personal time. Teachers need us to know that.
To end the year, we are having the kids create a Museum of Me (thank you, @ruth_ayres). Part one is to select ten items that reflect your identity. What would your ten items be?
@MarisaEThompson I have been using Flipgrid currently. The students are able to respond to the discussion questions, and then, they can respond to their classmates’ responses, too.
