The littles (3 & 2yrs) got their flu & XBB booster shots today w/ @OttawaHealth - clinic was super, friendly staff the whole way through. Now the rest of us wait until end of Oct…Will we get our updated vax before we get reinfected? Stay tuned to find out! #CovidIsNotOver
14 school days in & 4 sick days for my kids already. I’m a teacher. I can’t be away 29% of this school year. Fix our schools. Fund & enforce ventilation & filtration requirements, invest in upper room UV, ⬇️ class sizes, ample paid sick days for all Ontarians. @Sflecce#onted
@Sflecce Hi Minister Lecce! My kid was NOT in class this week because he was already sick and had to miss school. Sadly, given that your government has done nothing to improve IAQ in Ontario public schools, I suspect this will happen to so many kids this year. What’s your plan? #onted

It’s time to mask up friends.
The wastewater signal from today is a pretty close match to what it was this time last year. As a reminder, last year our kids and paediatric healthcare system were hit really hard with a tripledemic of flu, COVID, and RSV.
We need to be using ALL the tools to keep our air clean & free from ALL airborne germs. A good mask is one that is well fitted, ideally an n95 or equivalent. @DonateMask has FREE masks - quality ones. Please do your part to keep everyone healthy and in class.
#IndoorAirQuality has never been more important. #MaskUp!

@ONSchoolSafety@SylviaJonesMPP Yea I’d love masking back in schools until boosters roll out. We’re sooo close but I think covid will catch us before vax is rolled out.
Schools when a kid has a peanut allergy:
“Alright so we’re going to ask everyone in the school not to eat peanut butter to keep you safe. We will post signs on every door! Community support!” 1/2
Interesting review, lets recap because of its BIG IMPORTANCE and again C19 isn't a flu and can kill some of you even months after your initial C19, even if you didn't need Hospitalisation( so-called "mild")!!
➡️The review includes 6 studies involving over 12 million patients, demonstrating a strong connection between COVID-19 and elevated risks of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular thromboembolic events.
➡️The risk of these events is evident in conditions such as ischemic heart disease, stroke, and cardiac arrhythmias.
➡️The burden of these events beyond the acute phase of the disease is concerning, warranting further exploration of long-term implications(LONGCOVID).
➡️Variability in event rates among different cohorts and healthcare settings underscores the need for understanding underlying factors influencing these differences.
➡️Potential mechanisms behind these events include endothelial dysfunction, systemic inflammation, and viral invasion.
➡️This review serves as a valuable resource for healthcare providers, policymakers, and researchers to enhance patient care, outcomes, and preparedness for future waves of COVID-19 infections.
WARNING: anybody attributing the above to vaccines, will be put on a permanent block, because that's scientifically proven BS!!
Good morning, Ottawa. The levels of COVID-19 circulating in our community are high.
And while some things have changed since 2020, others have not: masks still work. A well-fitted mask will help protect you, and those around you.
It's a very simple thing that goes a long way.
"If students are required to attend school under the Ontario Education Act, then the Ontario government is responsible for providing a safe and healthy environment — including clean air."

A CDC study found
surgical masks in indoor public settings cut the chance of contracting the coronavirus by 66%.
Higher-quality N95 & KN95 masks reduced the risk of infection by 83%.
A mask protects not only against the coronavirus but other respiratory viruses, too.
