This government's sprawl agenda risks leading us into a water crisis. Canada has 20% of the world's freshwater. We have a duty to protect it for ourselves and future generations. Today, on #WorldWaterDay, let's commit to protecting our wetlands and waterways from endless sprawl.
It's embarrassing that it's 2023 and politicians can still win majority governments with less than 40% of the vote.
Majority governments should actually reflect the majority of the people.
I’ve had lots of great conversations about why I wear a turban and what it means.
But some people try to make us feel less than. I think of how that hurts kids especially.
To them I say:
Be who you are.
Have pride in all you bring to the table.
You belong.
Tomorrow, February 28 is #RareDiseaseDay2023 !
Each disease on its own may be rare, but did you know that there are over 7000 identified rare diseases? And that approximately 1 in every 12 Canadians will be affected by a rare disease?

Your friendly reminder Doug Ford is premier of a majority government despite his party only winning 40% of the popular vote.
This wouldn't be possible if Ontario used proportional representation.
BREAKING: Premier Doug Ford tells Ontario’s Integrity Commissioner that developers who he counts as “personal friends” attended a fundraiser stag and doe party for his daughter and son-in-law in August.

Less than 50% of voters in Canadian elections get the representation they wanted.
In countries with proportional representation, that number is well over 90%.
And we wonder why our voter turnout is so low?
Home is a place that kids spend most of their time. But our homes are designed for adults: there are things that can harm kids. Joining @PFuselli on this #PoppingTheBubbleWrap episode are Kim, Jenn, and Mandy as well as our expert Robyn Stewart from @SKPrevention1 ️
After getting taxpayer help to develop a COVID-19 vaccine, Moderna made $12 billion in net income in 2021 and juiced their CEO’s pay by 41%. Now apparently they’re considering quadrupling the vaccine price, up to $130 a dose.
Corporate greed can’t come before public health.
If a party says they support evidence-based policy, they must support proportional representation which has been the recommendation everytime electoral reform has been studied for almost a century.
"The cost of a social housing bed is really multiples lower than the extremes of a hospital bed, a prison bed, or a mental health facility bed." — @rebekah_young (@scotiabank) tells @KatEschner https://t.co/sPW8520ye4
Tucker Carlson called for the U.S. Armed Forces to “liberate Canada” while on air.
Yet, Pierre Poilievre's Conservatives blocked the NDP motion to condemn his words.
Instead of standing up for Canada the Conservatives sided Tucker Carlson and his attack on our democracy.
Cultivating a close, warmhearted feeling for others automatically puts the mind at ease. It helps remove whatever fears or insecurities we may have and gives us the strength to cope with any obstacles we encounter. It is the principal source of success in life.
Doubling the amount of social housing could potentially change the lives of nearly 2 million vulnerable Canadians and set the country on the path towards a fairer housing regime, according to a new report from @rebekah_young (@scotiabank) — by @KatEschner https://t.co/sPW8520ye4
I begin #BlackHistoryMonth by celebrating a Canadian hero —Rosemary Brown
The first Black woman elected to a legislature and to run for the leadership of a federal party
Like many Black Canadians she broke barriers and paved the way for us to build a better and more just Canada
