It has not been an easy path for @RobertKennedyJr, irrespective of what people assume they know from his last name. In truth, nearly every defining moment in his public life has been made more difficult because of it.

I have witnessed the attacks directed at him firsthand. I have also watched, day after day, as he has refused to lose sight of the calling placed on him.

I give no weight to biased news reports, negative framing, or distorted accounts of his character. Those sources do not know him. I do.

I have seen him accept a demanding role with uncommon humility. A role that has been isolating and historically consequential.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will be remembered as a defender of the American body and of truth in public health. A man who stood largely alone against concentrated power and immense opposing forces, and insisted that public health serve the public with the truth.

Rock on my brother, this is your moment. You earned it, you deserve it, and you have the right to occupy it fully and speak without apology.

What kind of leaders do we have in Louisiana?

Louisiana has more proposed CO2 injection projects than any other state. The injection zones run over aquifers supplying drinking water across the state. CO2 is more corrosive than oil and gas. It degrades well cement faster.

Look up Satartia, Mississippi. A CO2 pipeline ruptured. 45 people hospitalized. 200 evacuated. Cars would not start, people passed out in their homes.

Look up Decatur, Illinois. The nation’s first commercial CO2 sequestration site leaked. Twice. Through a corroded well. The company hid it from the governor, the legislature, and the public while negotiating the rules and applying for expansion permits. The EPA cited them for Safe Drinking Water Act violations.

Look up Lake Boehmer, Texas. Sixty acres of toxic water. Hydrogen sulfide. Arsenic. Everything around it is dead.

Why then would Jeff Landry enact the Whole of Louisiana Energy Strategy and the Lightning Speed executive order, fast tracking CCS and data center projects while stripping regulatory oversight?

Why would he have Bob Hensgens swap a routine reorganization of the Department of Energy and Natural Resources for a 219 page bill giving one governor appointee control over permitting for everything that goes into or comes out of Louisiana’s ground?

Isn’t it strange that Landry would appoint W. Gray Stream, founder of Gulf Coast Sequestration, as chairman of the state economic development board? Does a man that has pending federal DOE (tax payer funded) grant of up to $600 million need to be telling us about “economic development”?

Why would Landry host CCS executives at the Governor’s Mansion and give them a hard pitch to raise $1.5 million to defeat John Fleming, one of the only elected officials opposing this?

Why would Louisiana’s leaders threatened to defund any parish that does not cooperate with CCS?

Why did the legislature kill every bill that would have restored your property rights while passing laws giving industry immunity?

Shouldn’t these disasters serve as a warning?

They are promising your parish schools and roads from this.

Where is the money coming from?

There is no taxable product. The 45Q credits that keep this industry alive come from federal taxpayers, not your parish tax base. The companies receive property tax exemptions. Zero jobs required.

Caldwell Parish has been waiting five years. So far the company sponsored the school band.

Why would so many of the legislators be endorsing someone for the U.S. Senate who is funded by the billion dollar corporations who want to seize private property in order to permanently bury CO2 waste under our land, schools, homes, and aquifers?

Shouldn’t we all be asking what kind of leaders would do this to their own people?
