At the end of May, the GO! Program traveled to Tofino for an action-packed 5 days. Camping at Surf Grove, students hiked, kayaked, surfed, participated in a beach clean-up & educated themselves about the impacts of microplastics on our coastal environments. #myYHS #YHSOutdoorEd

Gr. 1s visited Ms Carmelita's beehives for their Bee the Change project. They saw worker bees, honeycomb & tasted honey and learned that beekeepers use a smoker to keep bees calm. They now have a new appreciation for the work bees do in pollinating our world’s plants! #myYHS 🐝🍯
