Our first Year 11 at Meadow Park 👏
"‘We focus on making English exciting and engaging, through,
for example, creating interesting stimulus for writing.’
This can mean that other things, rather than what is intended to be learnt, are fixed in long-term memory."
Inspiring stuff, from Ofsted.
And @ofstednews is of view that "Teachers should be aware that motivation and love of a subject is predicated on success in that subject." Wow, again. Would be genuinely fascinated to see the evidence: studies showing that generally people who aren't successful aren't interested?

New parents in Sweden are guaranteed:
- 480 days of paid leave
- 80% of normal wages during that time
New parents in the U.S. are guaranteed:

How does that make sense in the richest country on earth?
Reception are learning all about Pirates this week! We read the book 'Ten Little Pirates' top begin our topic and the children were really engaged. They have lots of ideas of where they want to take their learning!
To all our #traineeteachers, #NQTs, partners, mentors and students, past, present and future. A very happy Christmas and a safe, healthy and prosperous New Year. You are amazing!
Looking forward to @WarwickCTE’s Research in Action conference tomorrow
