All students of ODL (Open and Distance Learning) and OL (Online Learning) programmes are required to register on the UGC DEB web portal using their Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) ID to generate a unique DEB-ID.

UGC conducted a virtual meeting on August 30, 2024, with HEIs authorised to offer ODL and OL programmes to assist with the transition to the new system. Most HEIs confirmed the completion of DEB-ID API integration and are now admitting students only through DEB-IDs. Further one-on-one interactions with the remaining HEIs are scheduled for today, September 2, 2024.

A Study Centre Management Committees meeting was held today at NLB City College, Dibrugarh. Coordinators from KKHSOU Study Centres in Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, and Sivsagar discussed strategies for new admissions starting July 1, 2024.
