After Karnataka, the rise of “Bulldozer Raj” in Telangana is deeply concerning.
In Velugumatla village of Khammam district, around 700 houses built on Bhoodan land during the Bhoodan movement led by Acharya Vinoba Bhave were demolished under heavy police presence, without any prior notice. Nearly 3,000 people, despite possessing valid identity documents, were made homeless by the Congress government. The politics of eviction and displacement is what the Congress has chosen to advance.
