If you enjoy "connecting the dots" about life, becoming a parent is an essential piece of the puzzle that no amount of thinking, conversations, or experiences can replace.
If I were to give one piece of advice about "writing" to my former self, it would be along the lines of: get your basic finances in order, buy a healthy lifestyle, marry someone you look forward to talking to every day, and have kids you look forward to teaching every day, that's where you will find the depth of perspective you're looking for.
The energy in NYC for the Knicks is incredible. Everywhere you walk you feel it. It’s the only team in NY that can do that. Made me jealous we are split on the other sports. Would be cool to have the entire city behind one team. What I’m getting at is the Yankees should move.
Francisco Lindor...

-Never misses a game
-Mentors and praises his teammates
-Always holds himself accountable
-Is an exemplary humanitarian off the field
In short, he is everything you want in a franchise player.
You won't build a healthy body and a calm mind in just a few months.
You won't be fluent in a foreign language and be capable of fun, deep conversations in just a few months.
You won't build a loving family and a circle of trusted friends in just a few months.
You won't turn around decades of bad habits in just a few months.
You won't build a portfolio of assets that give you financial freedom in just a few months.
You won't unlearn years of accumulated anger, anxiety, frustration, in just a few months.
You won't build the perspective that allows you to enjoy life in a more detached way in just a few months.
All the best things in life require long-term thinking.
Be patient, stay committed, you will get there.
@tribelaw My last conversation with my father was about you and your work to uphold the Constitution and the rule of law. Honor his memory and continue your work. https://t.co/QJEGupyaGe
If someone doesn't seem to enjoy your company, let them go.
Stop trying so hard to gain the validation of those you are not meant to be around.
Great relationships often start in effortless ways, as if you had known each other for many years.
You will always be concerned about, your own health, your kids, your older parents, your career choices, your investments,
but worrying more won’t improve the situation: learn how to be detached in order to think more clearly, have faith in your own ability to grow, keep moving.
