@mammyauts@forsa_union_ie This piece of information is very wrong. There was a survey carried out of all SNA’s and less than a few percent had no further qualifications than those specified by the department.
@EdithCameron6@naomicfisher@_MissingTheMark Their behaviour is the communication. I feel it’s our job as the trusted adults in their lives to build the connection needed so the child knows they are seen and valued for who they are. It’s also our job to impart that they are not their behaviour
I'll say it
The country is broken.
It's broken:
-we have the highest level of homelessness since the foundation of the state
-renters living in fear
-A generation who can't get the most basic need of a home of their own
-Youth emigrating as they see no future
A Republic?
@SNAsSpeakOut @bhoy_irish @SenLynnRuane I couldn’t agree more. In the job since I was 17 and all my colleagues that I work with that are in the job 25+ years like me all now have serious physical wear and tear. No way should anyone in our job have to work into their late 60’s(actually nobody should) it’s disgraceful
You would need an income of €170,000 a year & deposit of 65000 to get a mortgage to buy this 3 bed home!!!
What hipster, or anyone, could afford that??
An investor?
House prices have to fall...
Hipster heartland:three-bed home in The Tenters for €650,000 https://t.co/aw4t9ouOYp
@lindaosull88@josephamadigan And here we are on the last day of May with every SNA checking the ncse website in their breaks hoping to know if they have a position next year. Where is the #RespectForSnas
To add insult to injury @josephamadigan@NormaFoleyTD1 & @ncseirl continue to treat SNA staff working in the schools where these kids should be going with disdain by not releasing the SNA allocations until the very last moment - feels like spite! No #RespectForSNAs@SNAsSpeakOut
Ill ask again.
Who is going to teach our kids?
How many counties in Ireland can an SNA afford to pay the average price of a home?
NOT ONE!
An SNA, on pt 10 of salary scale on €33K. Could borrow €115K (10% deposit,13K, they could buy a house for 128,500)

@lindaosull88 Sending love and hugs your way Linda I hope you start feeling better soon. Pity I’m not closer and I could do a food run or something for you
