@stoosepp loved your presentation at the 2023 Teaching & Learning Symposium! I'll be reaching out soon to get your thoughts on using Discord in the HDR space 😀@UniNewEngland
@FromPhDtoLife I needed a break from academia/research after my PhD, so was a high school science & agriculture teacher. Am now back at the university as an "Academic - HDR Training" (training for PhD students), which is my dream job 😊❤️
Officially start my new role as the Academic - HDR Training in @UniNewEngland 's Graduate Research School! Excited to be in my dream job of designing, developing and implementing HDR training to support students through their PhD journey and beyond! #Research#Training
“Go where you are embraced, celebrated, valued and supported. Go where you don’t have to fight for people to see your brilliance”.
Good advice for ECRs who often choose labs for their prestige rather than a supportive environment where they could thrive! https://t.co/JswmPIuGyL
The tooth fairy will be busy in our household tonight with both Mr 10 and Miss 5 losing teeth today... now wondering if the "tooth fairy" raid the kids piggy banks (the only source of cash in the home) 🤔😅 #parenting
Off to Casino and Grafton this week for some #soil workshops, but sometimes my #microbiology gives me a chance to work with soil-less systems.

Something very important is happening and @CottonResearch and @CottonAustralia are part of it. Oh, and so am I and lots of others in something that promises to be an Australian first https://t.co/zPDHEuXhcy
Heading to Goondiwindi tomorrow for the @CottonResearch supported in crop monitoring phase of one of these trials. Love a good excuse for a trip west and #cotton.
Phase 2 of the #circular cotton trial is underway in Goondiwindi & Gunnedah. CRDC, @CottonAustralia, Sheridan, @Thread_Together & Goondiwindi Cotton are working together to return cotton #textilewaste to the field & study its impact on #soilhealth > https://t.co/8mGdEVfDyN

@nic_career Innovator, coordinator and tied between linker/informer. Currently working as an undergraduate academic, research project coordinator and designing HDR training courses 😊
@MST_Writes I love this - I'm a (former) teacher who loathes the pressures of final exams and ATARs. They're such a poor indicator for what students are truly capable of achieving. Well done to your daughter for realising that the ATAR pathway is not the only one to success!
@thekatestewart@AcademicChatter Worked as a casual tutor/demonstrator/lecturer and as a learning developer in uni learning design (made use of my undergraduate education degree!). Also worked as a secondary school teacher too.
Have done the obligatory "What do you want to be when you're older?" Miss 5's answer is a "#Princess" or a "Police Officer" if the former doesn't work out. Always good to have a back up plan 👌 😅 @nswpolice
