Paltrow says that she’s “pretty centrist” and adds that her husband “thinks I’m a Republican.”

@LauraRbnsn Note that when they wish for a billion dollars, they get a billion dollars (no twists). So her character in the movie is supposed to be a depiction of woman who loves her man more than anything else.

@LauraRbnsn Movie’s misogynistic for other reason: in the logic of this movie, it’s saying that a woman who “loves you more than anything else” will only be able to exhibit that emotional state through psychosis. It’s sexist in the way it depicts the complications of that wish becoming true

@OrinKerr My recollection is reading in Library of Congress’s archives that most circuit judges refused assignment in the first twenty years or so because travel to NYC and PA was so difficult. So there is reason to believe the founders view the norm as far more rotation

"Out of a desire to understand male/female interaction in our matrix, I procured an online AI girlfriend. What a disappointment. @ClarenceMaximus Uhhhh Comstock Act is a crim law that has to be enforced by the executive branch. A judge can’t sua sponte raise it in a civil litigation & use it to resolve a civil dispute when there’s been no criminal enforcement. From a textualist perspective that would be non delegation

@jimmy_esq The main impact of it is to clarify each party’s positions on things that judges are still confused about unclear abourt. Fill gaps. What the judges do with that additional information, the oral advocates have little impact on.
