Another guilty verdict - Fahima Mahamud, owner of the “Early Learing Center” pled guilty to both childcare fraud & Feeding Our Future fraud.

We flagged this & 71 other concerning childcare centers for DHS in February, 2025. They did nothing.

So grateful for our federal partners at @FBIMinneapolis @DMNnews for their excellent investigations/prosecutions & @nickshirleyy for bringing national attention to this case!

Gregg Goldmann officially stepped down as the University of Minnesota’s Executive Vice President for Finance and Operations on June 17. Goldmann cited a desire to be closer to family, and is expected to return to the University of Southern California in a similar position this fall.

In the meantime, Mike Vilma will serve as interim executive vice president while the University conducts a national search for a new hire.
