I ask completely random questions throughout my lectures to get them ready for college.
Doing notes on language in AP Psych & I asked if they could communicate effectively through only emojis & then asked them to try to trace back slang etymology
This makes so much sense. During my graduate degree I was able to look up so much evidence based teaching & historical info. Game changer for educators to have this access.
@MarkHamill I’ve been emailing & chatting with @twhiddleston’s agent for weeks. Yall are right down the road (like 5min) from my school where I teach superhero psych & sociology. I haven’t yet delved into your fandom world for classes YET, but I’d love if yall could pop by TMR 😅
This is awesome — AT&T worked with Gallaudet University to create a 5G helmet so their deaf and hard-of-hearing students could play football.
Coaches will select plays from a tablet, which will then show up on the players visor.
They'll use them for the first time this weekend.
Posting an updated sample of our newest addition to my superhero class. The prompt was how do you see states of consciousness in @MarvelStudios The Avengers. My personal fav analysis was that being an Avenger is like a drug addiction.

I need someone to tell @twhiddleston that his new movie is going to be filmed down the street from THE SCHOOL WHERE I TEACH SUPERHERO PSYCH. Like, if Loki could pop in to say hi one day, I’d be eternally grateful 🐊💚
Teachers who have built classes or larger concepts (not just individual lessons), how do you go about sharing them? I really want to start sharing how I teach Psych & Sociology with superhero films (with a analytical writing focus). I’ve toyed around with Patreon, but IDK.
I just want a full-time job where people send me amazing comics and graphic novels and I get to write teacher guides and talk about them with educators, parents, and students! To create the next generation of readers and help educators to do so! Is that too much to ask!?!
A fun real-world scenario in World History! Students used their critical thinking skills to analyze evidence in a “school discipline scenario”. They determined fact from fiction and considered various perspectives! #bartonexplorers@MsMotesHistory
I’ve worked with some incredible teachers who got fantastic output from students and worked the least hours they could manage whilst getting the job done. Rarely seen in building after school. Left meetings on dot. Refused extra ‘opportunities’. And were GREAT. Kids loved em.
Wanting to work extra hours is fine, not doing so is also fine. Neither necessarily have any impact on your output as a professional and best to ignore any humble bragging and just do you.
