Pavan averages 50.6 at a strike rate of 100.19 in ODIs now. These are unbelievable numbers for a Sri Lankan even considering the small sample size. I wonder if any Sri Lankan has averaged this much at this strike rate at any point in their career before.

This win doesn’t magically fix our issues. Our team combination is so off. Yesterday, we went in with just 3 frontline bowlers, and our batting lineup still needs a miracle like yesterday’s to win.

Dasun, or anyone else, cannot consistently maintain such a strike rate.

Pavan and Liyanage will likely retain their places in the middle. That means Kamindu and Asalanka will have to sit out unless the team is confident that Dasun and Liyanage can cover 10 overs.

If not, could Milan or Wella slot into the middle or can Wiki get clearance to bowl ?
