Our Downey Vikings + Vikweens 👑 are like no other. We miss seeing your faces everyday and we are sending you so much love and hope during this time. You are the reason we do this job and we will continue to be here for you always.✨
A6: I need to be louder. I’m quieter by nature, so that leads to less visibility especially on a very busy and loud campus. Because being loud doesn’t come naturally for me, this is another pretty heavy bit of emotional labor. But, that’s just part of the job. #wcchat
A5: Like all roles on campus, no one really understands a job unless they are currently doing it. Same for WC directors. I am grateful for a supportive principal and now even more appreciative of the wider WC community (that I wish I joined much earlier). #wcchat
@TatianaREdwards Oh yes! I know we are all so busy, but I wish some faculty would come for just 10-15 min and see our tutors talk shop. It’s so inspiring to see these young people make connections we just can’t.
