There is a very straightforward reason why this happens at DCA, even when there are empty gates. It is no airline’s fault or the airport’s. It’s Congress’ for forcing way too many flights to operate in and out of here each day with strict gate slot controls, and there just isn’t enough space for the physical demand of irregular operations.
It only works well on perfect weather days, which are few and far between right now.
As a DC resident over the last week, I’m confident the USMNT would’ve won this game if there were fighter jets flying over the stadium nonstop for 100 minutes of game time. There’s absolutely no defense for that nonstop noise. All mental. @WashProbs@OverheardWDC@PFTCommenter
Dallas ATT Stadium is clearly way more suited to host the World Cup final over MetLife… So is Los Angeles. Or Atlanta. Or Mexico City.
Hosting the final in New York MetLife is by far the most perplexing decision made by FIFA in this tournament.
With all of the respect to the God of Due, is technology ruining the Beautiful Game?? It feels like we're getting to a point where we're taking the human athleticism and human decision making out of the game in favor of Karen-level technology. FIFA seriously needs to examine this.
@keithedwards She’s the chair of the AI in Education Task Force. Some reference to AI playing a role the future of everything. But also this is all a guess cause this White House is such a clown show that idk
@troubledyank Like most shit, the Saudi-aligned/right wing corporate megalomaniacs are very good at pointing out all the problems in the world, but super fucking terrible at doing anything to fix them.
Just trying to provide a healthy balance to the discussion here.
@RadioFreeTom If the F-35 program was a public school, it would’ve been forced into a turnaround religious charter network in 40 states by now. Its mission preparedness rates are disastrous as a measure of ROI.
