To everyone that attended the 8th edition of the KTA Symposium, I really want to hear from you.
What were your key takeaways from the sessions and discussions?
Consistency. Sacrifice. Community.
That’s the story behind the success of the KTA Annual Law Symposium.
Eight years in, under the steady leadership of @KennethMuhangi this platform has grown organically into a go-to space for meaningful partnerships, policy and law reform advocacy, and innovation.
We are deeply grateful to God, our event Partners, the CELPii team, @ktaadvocates, our sponsors, speakers and everyone who has stood with us on this journey.
As we look ahead to the 9th edition in 2026, we’re excited to keep building an even bigger and stronger community. Don’t hesitate to join us,the best is yet to come! 🎉✅
If you missed this year's @KTASymposium like me, we can still catch up next year as it is yearly, the Symposium convenes policymakers, regulators, and industry leaders to discuss how Uganda can leverage IP and technology to meet the Sustainable Development Goals. Cheers @kta_law

AI reflects global biases, but human values remain local. Africa must localize tools, protect original voices, and ensure ethics lead innovation, not the other way around. #KTASymposium2025
The Fireside Chat on AI, Misinformation & Governance has been incredibly insightful. The panel unpacked how artificial intelligence is reshaping truth, democracy, and human judgment.

The answer? Critical thinking. Beyond digital literacy, we need human curiosity; the ability to question, verify, and understand before we share. It starts at home and in schools.
The call: We must rethink how creative work is valued and funded. Inclusive metrics, context-sensitive funding, and recognition of local processes can unlock Uganda’s creative economy. #KTASymposium2025
The World Café session on “Creative Economy, Financing & Measuring Impact” at #KTASymposium2025, we explored why many creatives struggle to access funding.
Key insight: Business readiness is just as important as creative talent.
Western funding models often don’t fit Uganda’s creative context. Local realities, seasonal cycles, and informal processes must be considered. Language gaps between creatives & funders also hinder support.
