Witnessed an assault while taking my family to dinner on Polk St tonight.

Young guy beating what looked like a homeless woman.

Called 911 twice and it rang out to an automated message. Got a call a back 3 mins later.

Lots to process here.

Guy got away.

But it also got me thinking what if my child was dying and I had to wait 3 mins for a call back.

Or there was a fire consuming our apt and I needed to wait 3 mins for a call back.

Wonder what the bottleneck is about here. Are we short 911 operators? Is 6:00 pm on a February Friday night that busy for them?

Katie had gestational diabetes for her first pregnancy and it turns out that drinking electrolytes after a meal lowers your blood sugar significantly.

She’s been drinking them ever since and esp during her second pregnancy (37 weeks now).

They reached out to learn more about her story and sent this box as a gift!

Third trimester, officially on leave waiting for our little girl, watching/chasing our 18 mo old solo during the workday until she arrives, and my husband (@aaroncbailey) says to me after dinner “you go rest, I’ll take care of the dishes and everything else.” Heavenly.

I am really disappointed to see how @nytimes is covering the SVB story. No mention of founders or the thousands of people this would have affected had the gov not stepped in.
