I’ve recently been spending my Fridays at @CastlebraeCCC’s Support Base as part of @EdinburghBQ community impact to help bring some STEM into their students timetable! Always such an enjoyable end to the week ☺️
Without further ado- here is the resource @KTfish, Isabelle, Cris and I created! Check out the Science Ceilidh Instagram for Isabelle and Cris’ takeovers. Hope you enjoy the resource! 🔗 https://t.co/cgQovEAyQ8 8/9

Today our #SciComm placement students will be taking over our social media accounts!
They'll be sharing a fantastic #STEM#youthwork resource they created during their placement with us 👩🍳🧑🔬
Make sure to say hello to them here and on our Instagram
Hi all! I’m Katie, a chemist turned master's student in #SciComm and #PublicEngagement@EdinburghUni. Join me over the next hour to hear about all the work we’ve been doing at Science Ceilidh on placement 🤩
Last day! It’s been an incredible year alongside Rinna, Hailie and Micaela 🥰Together we’ve capped student numbers, increased club and societies resources and advocated endlessly and more.
My personal account is @ktfish if you’d like to stay in touch ☺️
Good luck Mariama ❤️
Delighted to have the photos from the Volunteering, Clubs and Societies Awards! It was a great success and so lovely to celebrate the achievements of so many of our students. Huge congrats to all our winners and nominees!!
Come along to our Home Students' Day this Friday!! We've been working on this for a few months so are so excited for it all to be happening so soon now!
Today I joined students as we protested in solidarity with @ucu. Higher education must recognise the value our teachers provide and we demand sustainable working conditions and liveable wages for staff across the UK. Thank you for letting me join you today @UCUGlasgow
Today our #CapStudentNumbersNow campaign was reported in the news by @Independent and @BBCNews. It's incredible to see this discussion unfold on a national level and proud of the work we are doing at @glasgowunisrc for students.

Our council members have started calling me 'VP Fish', my granddads initials are 'D J Fish' so it's nice to get another spin on the surname in the family!
Rising student numbers has affected everything from student wellbeing to staff morale, and more widely has contributed to a housing crisis which has been hugely detrimental to the wider communtity. We fully support SRC in their demand for caps on student numbers.
The unsustainable growth of student numbers has impacted every student at this university and put unprecedented strain on the entire university and local communities.
It is vital that the university work with us to #CapStudentNumbersNow.
