If the aim is reducing migration, the first question should be simple: does this funding address the root causes or reward those connected to them? British aid should empower citizens, not political insiders.

Why are people in the Kurdistan Region paying some of the Middle East's highest petrol prices despite living in an oil-producing region with one of the lowest incomes per capita?
Does allocating nearly half of the Kurdistan Region's public payroll to security strengthen long-term stability, or does it come at the expense of investment in healthcare, education, infrastructure, and economic growth?
Hundreds of tribal leaders met near Kobani to discuss Arab-Kurdish coexistence amid Rojava’s integration into Syria’s interim government, following SDF losses and a US-backed deal many view as the end of Kurdish autonomy hopes. https://t.co/fxzd6CA5Dw
We Don’t Wait for Permission —
Iranians Must Lead Their Own Democratic Change
Ground attack, not yet
Rûken Nexede, the senior commander of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), told reporters from France24 (@France24_en) in the mountains of Kurdistan that his party is ready to confront the Islamic Republic of Iran and defend the rights of the Kurdish people by any means, even without help from the United States or other countries.
Nexede said, “What matters most to us is changing the current situation into a democratic Iran. We are not waiting for permission from any country; the people of Iran must play the main role in changing their own country.”
PJAK has not decided on a ground attack and continues its military activities cautiously, but remains ready for any potential threat.
Nexede also emphasized that the ultimate goal of her party is not just to support the Kurdish people, but to achieve a free and democratic Iran where all ethnic groups, including Kurds, can enjoy their rights.

The ceasefire agreement signed between al Sharaa and Mazloum Abdi has been nullified after a meeting in Damascus today. Fawza Yusuf, a senior Kurdish politician in negotiations, said that Damascus was “imposing surrender”. The General Command of SDF called on people to “join the resistance” in a day of “historical responsibility”.
They are plundering everywhere they go!
HTS and SNA forces began looting and stealing belongings from civilians' homes in Deir Hafer after the SDF withdrew.
They do the same thing at Sheikh Maqsoud.
