We’re a direct pay practice which means we don’t take insurance. Let’s talk about it because I’ve been called a fraud three times today because of that.

That’s not even unusual because it’s usually 3-5 per week.

The reality is insurance companies decide what they will and won’t pay for. When they’re the ones paying, they’re the ones dictating your care.

That means limitations, delays, denied treatments, and clinicians who can’t always give you their best, even if they want to.

Direct pay flips that and puts you in control. Your care is based on what you actually need, not what gets approved. No asking permission, no waiting on authorizations, and no fighting denials. Just time, attention, and the ability to use every tool available to get you better.

Direct pay isn’t fraud.
It’s what happens when clinicians get tired of being told they can’t fully help people.

Pro sports have done a disservice making everyone think they need an image immediately.

The truth is, a diagnosis is just a code for billing insurance, but it doesn’t always define what’s really going on.

You’ve gotta make the first one to get to the good ones.

The first time you try anything (a new lift, a new routine, a new business move, a new swing) it’s probably not going to be great. That’s okay.

Try the thing. Do the thing. Burn the first pancake. Learn. Flip the next one better.

The number one thing I hate doing every day is trying to make “perfect” helpful content because I don’t always know what you want or need. But, you know, it’s part of the process. Showing up, learning, and getting better one post at a time.

Did you know your jaw can affect your throwing mechanics?

Jaw and anterior neck tension often pull the head and shoulders forward. For throwers, that posture places extra stress on both the shoulder and elbow.

Think about braces, when teeth are tightened, pain is common. One of the body’s natural responses is to clench and bite down to override that discomfort. Over time, that chronic clenching builds tension that alters mechanics, contributes to TMJ pain, and can even affect performance.

We use a combination of dry needling and laser therapy to reduce jaw and neck tension, restore balance, and protect the shoulder and arm from overload. Treating the root problem helps keep athletes healthier and more efficient on and off the field.
