This tragedy is real. The conclusion is wrong.
Canada is not “broken.” If you want to see a broken system, look south where people struggle to afford food, face four-figure insurance premiums, and are still denied care.

Canada has universal health care, and it works when it’s properly funded.
Health care delivery is provincial by law. In Alberta, funding and system design rest with the premier.
What failed here was policy chronic underfunding and deliberate undermining of public care not universal health care itself.

Don’t blame frontline workers.
Name the decision-makers.
Accountability belongs at the top.
