Lawn establishment
1. To achieve a good lawn one needs to use red soil as it is fertile and well-drained.
2. Once the the lawn is grown red soil is used to top dress to achieve a level ground and also improve growth of grass.
Architects in Kenya need to hear this. Your job is to be creative WITHIN a client's budget, not despite it.
**1**
There's a culture here where if you come with a modest budget, you're treated like a second-class client. Less effort, less creativity, less care.

The heavy masonry cladding doesn't just look incredible; it provides crucial thermal mass insulation, stabilizing internal temperatures and eliminating the "tin can" effect.
1 tree of coffee can produce 3kg of berries in a season.
There can be 2 seasons in a year.
A kilo of coffee berries is now KSH 600 - 1000,
A tree in a season can return an average of KSH 2000 (KSH 4000 in a year).
The older the tree, the more the kilos in a harvest.
An acre can hold 800 to 1200 trees depending on the spacing.
Apart from Central Kenya, coffee can grow in:
• Eastern: Mbooni, Kangundo, Machakos, Embu, Meru
• Western: Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma
• Nyanza: Migori, Oyugis, Nyamira, Kisii
• Rift-Valley: Trans-Nzoia, Bomet, Kericho, Laikipia, Keiyo, Baringo
• Coast: Taita Taveta
Coffee is the second-most-traded commodity globally after oil.
For a nation to be free, it should produce and export more than it consumes and imports.
Soil is our freedom.
Seeds are our weapons.
Food is our sovereignty.
Farming is patriotism.
Part 5: Deceptive Practices in the Borehole Industry
This piece focuses on the materials used in borehole construction. A friend, a former colleague from our days in South Sudan, once called me about a borehole he was drilling at his village home. He had engaged a contractor who offered a fixed price for drilling to a depth of between 80 and 120 metres. When he mentioned the price, it sounded suspiciously low, so I asked him to share the quotation. On reviewing it, I noted that it seemed to include everything, yet something still didn’t add up.
A few days later, he called again to say they had already drilled to 80 metres but wanted to stop because they had fewer liners (casings). They had found sufficient water, he said. I asked about the colour of the liners, and his answer startled me: they were brownish PVC pipes.
That immediately raised a red flag. I asked whether they had proper slotted liners (screens) to install in the water entry zone. His reply shocked me even more: the team was slotting some of the casings on the site using a saw!
At that point, I knew exactly why the quotation had been so cheap: the driller was using waste pipes as borehole casing! Proper uPVC well casings are specifically manufactured for borehole use and are regulated under the KEBS Standard KS 2210-3:2010. These are typically Bermuda blue or black in colour and are built to withstand pressure, degradation, and depth conditions.
Unfortunately, rogue drillers often cut costs by using substandard materials. The same applies to steel casings. The most common and affordable option is low-carbon (mild) steel, which is available in three typical wall thicknesses for 6-inch boreholes: 3.8 mm, 4.0 mm, and 4.5 mm. The recommended standard is 4.5 mm to ensure adequate yield strength and structural integrity. It is therefore essential to confirm that the driller has supplied the correct material and grade.
In one incident in Karen, a contractor installed steel casings in a borehole nearly 400 metres deep, and they collapsed. A dispute arose between the contractor and the supervising engineer, and I was asked to investigate. KEBS officials were invited to verify the casing thickness, which ranged from 3.97 mm to 4.00 mm. After calculating the required strength for that depth and diameter, I determined that a minimum thickness of 4.75 mm should have been used.
In another incident, many years ago, a driller called me in a panic; he needed Johnson casings. These are highly specialised and expensive, often costing nearly twenty times more than mild steel casings, and are used only in exceptional projects. They are also available only through direct importation.
He confessed that he had quoted Johnson casings for a white farmer in the Nanyuki area but had planned to install mild steel instead and pocket the difference. To avoid being found out, he deliberately gave the farmer the wrong installation date, counting on having the mild steel casings already installed by the time the farmer showed up on site.
However, fate intervened. His truck carrying the mild steel casings broke down on the way to the site, delaying the work, meaning the farmer would now be on site before installation began. With no time to cover up his plan, he had no choice but to install the genuine Johnson casings.
There was only one problem: he didn’t have any. Fortunately, another contractor had a few leftover Johnson screens from a previous project. I happened to know this contractor personally, which is why the driller called me, desperate for help to obtain the very screens he had quoted for but never intended to supply.
It is such occurrences that highlight the need for proper supervision of the short but highly specialised project that is often taken for granted, which a borehole is.
There are two essential micro-economies at the family level.
1. FOOD ECONOMY
2. HEALTH ECONOMY.
60% of a household's income goes to buying food. Did you know this?
For every 100 you earn, 60 goes to food.
Then, 15% of a household's income goes to medical care. Did you know this?
The rest goes to paying bills and servicing debts. This leads to more debts, and more debts, and less wealth creation.
It has therefore become a rat-race of hand to mouth survival for families.
These two economies are centrally controlled by the predatory systems in government.
That is why in Kenya, for example, food is expensive, and health care is crazy.
Once the system determines the direction of these two economies, they are able to control the people.
Hungry people are easy to control.
Sick people are easy to manipulate.
It is the reason I keep telling you to buy land, grow your food and keep livestock and poultry.
Food doesn't have to be expensive in Africa. In fact, an Afrikan should not buy food. An Afrikan should not import food.
Afrika possesses 65% of the world's uncultivated arable land. Did you know this?
So, if we fix food and health care at the household level, we shall focus on wealth creation.
The good news is that food and health are Siamese twins.
When the family's nutrition is good, then obviously their health will also be good. That means less medical bills.
But when a family buys food, eats bad foods, and imports zero-nutrient foods like Weetabix, rice, sugar and the rest, then their health becomes bad.
Children will always be sick with flu, sore throat, diarrhea, and abdominal sickness, while adults will always be sick with gastritis, hemorrhoids, hypertension, diabetes and other chronic ailments associated with metabolic derangement.
Why do you think our parents survived with meagre income?
Because food was readily available. Not just food, but nutrient-dense food straight from the farm.
When a family fixes its food, it fixes its healthcare.
When these two are fixed, the family is able to send children to school, invest disposable income and create wealth for the family.

On matters FLUORIDE,
The legacy media has started agreeing with us that fluoride is harmful to our brain health.
There is nothing like 'higher amounts,"
Fluoride is bad.
It is bad for children; it is bad for all.
It is not a nutritional need.
Avoid it.

If you observe keenly,
You will realize politicians are strategically pushing for ethnic profiling.
"You, Kikuyus, are selfish,"
"Us Kalenjins are in government"
"We Luos have suffered enough, Kikuyus should let us eat."
Ethnic animosity is their last weapon to remain relevant.
They have failed to deliver.
They have failed to do what they promised.
They have realized we don't want them.
Their only tool is to whip ethnic emotions.
The good news is that Kenyans will not hate each other because of politicians.
We now know politicians are crooks, thieves, liars, and corrupt.
Politicians are scared when Kenyans unite around issues that concern them, like,
• Health
• Education
• Taxes
We have crossed that bridge of using our tribes to hate on other tribes.
Don't be distracted.
All we want is:
- Disband the government
- Dissolve the parliament

The BEST oils for human nutrition:
- Coconut Oil
- Butter
- Ghee
- Shmaltz
- Tallow
- Lard
- Avocado Oil
- Extra-virgin Olive Oil
I listed Olive Oil as the last one because there is massive adulteration of Olive Oil brands with Pomace and Seed Oils.

COCO MELON PARENTS
Coco Melon's Parents are parents who have abdicated their roles to the blue screens.
For example,
When the child is restless, they give them their phones.
When the child is not feeding well, they switch on the TV, "Eat or that man will eat your food."
When the children are running and jumping, they switch on the TV to contain them with cartoons.
When the children are bored, they show them YouTube videos like Baby Shark.
What Coco Melon parents should realize is that exposing children to these destructive devices will also disrupt their brain development.
These children become inelastic human beings who cannot explore the wonderland of imagination and innovation.
These children become stunted in both growth and development.
These are the children who easily throw tantrums, squirm, yell or become violent.
Children of Coco Melon's Parents end up with:
- Delayed speech
- Autism
- ADHD
- Poor feeding habits
- Poor cognitive skills
- Dyslexia
I do not understand why modern parents are pressured to keep their children glued to the blue screens.
There is nothing these children learn from these gadgets.
Children are not small adults. They are children.
Allow them to go out and play with the other children.
Let them learn about teamwork, project management, conflict management and other soft skills which they will never acquire by watching these useless gadgets.
Remember,
We are human beings.
Technology exists to make our lives easier not to replace our cognitive skills.
Nothing can replace the human brain, not even AI.
The human brain is a muscle. Let it be exposed to human challenges.
Do not be a Coco Melon Parent.

THE CIRCLE OF WILLIS
If you are an employee, do you have a Circle of Willis of your income?
You are one payslip away from poverty.
Don't sit comfortably in your employment.
Don't sit comfortably in the company's car. It is not yours.
Don't live comfortably in a government house. It is not yours.
Diversify your income.
Have different revenue streams apart from the salary.
Treat your financial status like THE CIRCLE OF WILLIS in the brain.
The Circle of Willis is a loop of blood arteries at the base of the brain.
When one artery is damaged, the other arteries will continue supplying blood to the brain, ensuring the brain doesn't get starved of nutrients and oxygen.
If the brain is starved, it will die. The Circle of Willis protects the brain from damage and death.
As an employee, draw The Circle of Willis of your income.
When one branch is damaged, the other streams will continue providing income.
Don't just sit carelessly drinking office tea and bread, gossiping, and misusing the office WiFi, thinking you have now reached the pinnacle of your success.
You are sitting on massive potential.
You are wasting your talent.
Exploit it.

Men,
Lesson 9
Things you should NOT chase:
• Girls
• Money
These are attracted to you because of what you have become.
What you should chase:
• Goals
• Skills
Build a flower garden, and you will attract bees.

Fewer men are in senior employment positions.
In the modern femicentric corporate sector and government, led by soy men and dick-driven men, they prioritize equality instead of merit and competence because competent men will enforce discipline and frugality, things that soy men and corporate women don't want (Discipline, Order and Commitment.)
More men are in lower cadres because men fix problems. Because problems leak from the foundation.
More men are in entry-level positions because they are there to earn skills and have where to begin their lives or a starting point.
Men love work because work is masculine.
Men love to create, innovate, build, and construct.
Men see solutions and results.
Women see dresses, cars, phones, jewellery, vacations, wine, and shoes. — Still, things built by men.
Women rush to senior positions because there is no actual work there—just a nice office, free WiFi, 10 o'clock tea, and conference allowances.
The consequences of filling senior positions with unfettered oestrogen are chaos, protests, and the death of institutions.
Also, today, fewer men are seeking formal employment. They prefer running their errands.
Man finds fulfilment when the work of his hands and the fragrance of his sweat put food on his family's table.
No man wants to be shouted at by a lazy, fat woman sitting in the executive office giving ridiculous instructions and yelling at every man.
So, it shouldn't surprise you that more women earn more than men.
Men should avoid joining positions, careers or institutions that are filled with women. Their future is gloom. Look at the media. It is done.
Once they mess these institutions with femicentric ideologies, they abandon them hoping a man will come to revive them.
There are more opportunities in industries and careers where women are avoiding, and these opportunities come dressed in boilersuits and coveralls.
Go for them.
Don't whine. The world is crooked.
Don't be bothered that women are earning more. Just focus on your work.
Man is work, and work is man!
