The State Bar of Texas lists him as a Criminal Law Hearing Officer in Harris County, TX. Emails organizing protests and detailing plans set for June 14 were sent using the name JMC and J.M. Callan. If I pay the standard default tip on my all my delivery orders and then the standard tip is increased (assuming I choose to continue to pay the standard recommendation) I will infact be forced to pay more money. To your point though, I agree, the drivers should be seeing all of their tips.

Basically, if I tip $7 and the driver only sees $1 because of the company, that’s no excuse to encourage the consumer to have to pay more for the fault of the company. The companies need to be held accountable, not the consumer in this situation. Mamdani is for taking the money out of consumers pockets. I’m against this side.

So the solution is to raise the “minimum” default so the consumer has to tip more? If I choose to tip $7, that’s the amount I chose to add on. A screwy company divvying out the tips is not a reason to try to force the consumer to pay more. Like I said, the tip is my choice and how much I choose to give. Either don’t shop with these companies or don’t work from them, but don’t intentionally increase something that is an optional payment .
