وسُئل الرئيس عباس في المؤتمر الصحفي، عما إذا كان كزعيم فلسطيني يعتزم الاعتذار لإسرائيل وألمانيا عن عملية ميونخ التي نفذت في عام 1972،  ردّ الرئيس عباس بدلاً من ذلك، بالإشارة إلى الفظائع التي ارتكبتها إسرائيل منذ عام 1947.
