Zelenskyy simply and accurately explains why giving up the Donbas won’t end the war:

"Putin says he wants the Donbas, but why, at the start of the full-scale invasion, was he trying to occupy Kyiv?

Is that the east of our country? Is that the Donbas? No, that’s the capital. Without a capital, there is no state.

Putin wants to destroy Ukraine. For us, the question is not about withdrawing from the Donbas.

The real question is the survival of our state. We stand and fight, because what is the alternative? To be destroyed.

Simply put, not everyone feels this because Ukraine is still standing. We have stabilized the battlefield.

We are grateful to our partners in Europe, America, and other countries, Japan is helping, Canada is helping, Australia, New Zealand, whoever can.

Ukraine stands against such a powerful enemy as Russia. We stand, otherwise we will be destroyed.

It’s always difficult, you know, in communications with partners, to find the right words, the warnings that they will truly understand.

Putin wants to destroy us. He doesn't respect us, our sovereignty, or our territorial integrity.

He genuinely believes that we are not a country, not a nation.

So do you really trust that he only needs the eastern part of our country? Of course that will never be enough for him.

And what will happen if we fall? How many people, I don’t know, maybe twenty million Ukrainians, will come to Europe?

Because Putin will destroy our homes and force us out. For me, this is absolutely clear.

That’s why we are standing strong, defending our country. Yes, with pain, with huge losses.

That’s why we are asking: stop the killing. And as I have heard so many times from POTUS, 'they have to stop the killing.'

Russia is killing us on our own territory. They came onto our land and keep pushing further.

They do not want to stop. They do not even want to freeze the war, as you can see.

So, do you think what Putin really wants is just the eastern part of our country? No. It will never be enough for a person like him."

Today, as a birthday “gift” to Putin, the Russian army destroyed a residential building in Pryluky, in the Chernihiv region. It was an ordinary five-story apartment building. Tragically, as of now, five people have been reported killed and 26 injured, including five children. There may still be people under the rubble. First responders are working nonstop at the site – doing everything possible to find every person. Russian missile strikes also damaged five apartment buildings in Dnipro and four high-rise buildings in Kremenchuk. Tragically, two people were killed and eight injured. A high-rise building in Zaporizhzhia was damaged by a drone. In Kyiv, the Russians killed two people. Two more people were killed in Oleksandriya… My condolences to all the families and loved ones of those killed. Overall, infrastructure in Kyiv and 12 regions came under attack last night.

One of the key targets was our energy infrastructure. The Russians wanted to strike painfully and demonstratively. This was one of the most vile strikes: 70 missiles in total, many of them ballistic, as well as “shaheds.” Unfortunately, only some of them were shot down. Russian ballistic missiles remain the greatest challenge. And air defense packages for us right now are a vital necessity. That is why every day we are looking for missiles for Patriot systems that can and must actually protect people’s lives here, in Ukrainian skies. Thank you to everyone who is helping us.

Colorado Republicans: all four of our congressional seats are on the line this year, turnout is going to be a BIG factor. Here's why. 👇

Nationally, Democrats are up 9 points on the generic ballot. Colorado doesn't swing as hard as the rest of the country, but it doesn't take much.

Look at how close these were in 2024:

🔴 CD-8, Gabe Evans: won by 2,449 votes. Less than 1 point.

🔴 CD-3, Jeff Hurd: won by 5 points.

🔴 CD-4, Lauren Boebert: won by 11.6.

🔴 CD-5, Jeff Crank: won by 13.8.

A 1-point shift flips CD-8. A 5-point shift flips CD-3.

And in a wave year like this one, "safe" seats stop being safe, especially with opponents that have BIG dollars behind them.

The national mood is something we can't control.

Turnout is.

2,449 votes. That's one Friday night football crowd. That's your church, your neighborhood, your group chat.

I know many of us are worried about the integrity of our elections here in CO, but we have to VOTE, and go too big to rig, to have a shot at neutering the problem.

Do not let this go Colorado! Under Jena Griswold and Jared Polis Colorado made it very easy for foreigners to open businesses in Colorado. Some would say this is because Newcomers can start companies this way. But after years of fraudulent LLC filings let foreign scammers hijack thousands of Colorado home addresses, the state finally required a real Colorado ID to register a business.
BUT the same Secretary of State’s office still runs a voting system with no general voter ID requirement. Easy access for ballots remains the priority; identity verification only got tightened once business fraud became impossible to ignore.
