Say No to Xenophobia: Ruto’s Sideshow Is Not a Jobs Plan

William Ruto has no catalogue of achievements to display. So he reached for the South African blueprint: a divisive sideshow meant to pull attention off the fact that he pledged jobs and instead destroyed livelihoods.

Kenya is great because it is welcoming - especially to citizens fleeing the same colonial wreckage that still wants Kenya reduced to another basket case.

Do not evict your Rwandese, Burundian, Congolese or Ugandan comrades. Don’t you even dare.

If the hunt is for foreigners, start in Nanyuki, Rumuruti and Samburu and evict the colonial settlers led by Kuki Gallman. Go to the @UKinKenya and evict them. Go to Kericho and evict the Unilever Tea operators sitting on large tracts.

Everything Ruto says and does is by the instruction of the colonizer; they are the collateral, not the African next door.

Protect fellow Africans from rogue police sent out to look for them. Xenophobia is the cheap substitute for a government that cannot deliver.
