@HannahHelton13 I think it can be done but a good amount of planning would have to go into making it happen. Making all aspects happen and maintaining a positive learning experience could be difficult but Feinstein possible. It would also need active student participation.

@EmilyHethcox I think culture can be defined as how people behave socially, what norms there are, and different activities that a group of people usually participates in. But since people can be a part of multiple cultures, it can get complicated.

Whether public or private schools provide greater benefits is a large debate but “public schools provide more real-life experiences or sometimes more developed specialty programs in athletics or science.” Do you think that public schools give more chances to be well rounded?

@emilylrut When students misbehave, have them fill out a behavior report on which they just explain why their behavior was wrong and how they could have acted differently

Since those in power rarely want their authority to be questioned, do you think that empowering those without power to speak up is a good way for educators to move in the direction for change?

Nurturing empowerment among young people is not comfortable...Nurturing empowerment among teachers is not comfortable for administrators...If we want a genuinely free country, students and teachers alike must learn to live freely. (Hinchey, 2010, pg 141) #AUCTEE3100

@HannahHelton13 I think it depends. Often those who perform well are motivated and pushed to perform higher but those who do not are left to stay on the same level or fall behind.

@Carolin86470106 They can help by pairing students together differently so that students are able to interact with different people. Also they can create activities that help students speak about themselves and what they like to do.

@Carolin86470106 I think it would be a good idea to try. Of course some kids will be stubborn or rude & still reject their peers. However I think more emphasis on including everyone & their ideas & that everyone is important should be taught or Atleast discussed early. #AUCTEE3100

@emilylrut I think teachers should have standards. It would benefit the children because many children just memorize what they need to pass the test just to get by. Some don’t actually learn so there should be standards teachers are required to follow #AUCTEE3100

Why as a society do we deem those who do not speak “standard English” well to be unintelligent even if what they say is very well thought out?
