At today’s @BBMPofficial x @WRIIndia workshop, Engineers from different departments came together to plan "Cluster-Based Blue-Green Wards" - linking lakes, streets, parks, and drains into one unified vision
Smt. Preeti Gehlot, Special Commissioner (FECCM), emphasized: “The first few clusters we build will become prototypes - soon every neighborhood will demand them.”
From safer streets to lake rejuvenation, from connected parks to climate-positive public spaces - this approach is about building networks of resilience, not isolated projects.

association must be a legal entity capable of holding property. Most apartment associations are not registered as co-operative societies under KSCA 1959, which is a prerequisite for holding title to common property.
@BAFBLR, @BBMPCOMM, Reality: Most builders in Bangalore have not executed such conveyance deeds. Many associations are registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 or as associations under KAOA 1972, which do not have the legal status to hold immovable property
Legal Requirement: Section 17 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA) mandates the builder to execute a registered conveyance deed in favor of the association of allottees, transferring the undivided proportionate title in the common areas.

@mdtsinha Also Harappa did not have any lake encroachments like Bangalore. Example Subramanyapura lake area has 50% encroachments. lakes in bangalore hold less water and more houses + sewage. So lakes are layouts and roads are lakes. Protected #encroachments courtesy #BBMP lakes dept
