@txsportsdoc@jointdocShields FWIW - I ditched my MacBook for iPad Pro after residency. Very rare that I ever miss the MacBook. Still use a company issued laptop for work tasks though.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MARCH 9, 2026
FILED!💥
Phil Lyman, Blanding UT, filed this morning to run in the Congressional District 3 race.
Lyman states:
Thank you for the tremendous outpouring of support as I announced my entry into the CD3 race!
Utah is at a crossroads. We need representation in Washington that understands the delicate balance between our thriving urban centers and our vital rural communities. I am running for Congress to bring a steady, experienced hand to the table—focusing on the kitchen-table issues that matter to every Utahn.
Above all, my mission is to restore transparency to our government. As a CPA, I’ve spent my career following the money. I will do the same with the federal budget, the management of our resources, and our elections. Utahns deserve to know exactly what is happening behind closed doors.
Transparency is not just a policy; it is the foundation of a free society.
I am committed to a platform of Transparency First, focusing on:
- Government Transparency & Accountability
- Energy & Economy
- Federal Lands & Forest Health
- Water & Housing
- Immigration
- Election Integrity
The Road to the Ballot: I will immediately begin gathering the required 7,000 signatures in a statewide effort.
While I remain a staunch supporter of our convention system, the current rules allow opponents to bypass delegates.
To ensure our movement is protected, we are playing by the rules as they are written to guarantee that the people—not the system—decide who represents them in Washington.
Our goal is to be on that ballot, and we will do so by talking to voters in every corner of this state, producing signatures, and winning at convention!

This is Christianity.
Matt 5:44
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and prayfor them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”
ACT OF MERCY: Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have collectively raised more than $140,000 for the family of Thomas Jacob Sanford.
Sanford killed four people in an attack on a church in Michigan.
My response to Candace Owens.
Every once in a while someone does something so base, so beyond the pale. Candace is the antithesis of an investigator.
Candace, you have questions. So do I. But yours are not questions, they are mocking slanderous libel. When you are ready to have an actual conversation rather than grand stand, give me a call.

🚨 BREAKING: Jim Jordan just asked Kash Patel a flurry of rapid fire questions and embarrassed every Democrat who has continuously smeared Kash's performance at the FBI.
"Is the FBI still spying on parents at school board meetings?"
KASH: "No, sir."
"Is the FBI still targeting Catholics?"
KASH: "No, sir."
"Is the FBI still censoring Americans?"
KASH: "No, sir."
"Is the FBI still targeting Americans for shopping at Cabela's or purchasing Bibles?"
KASH: "Nobody is targeted for their faith."
"Is the FBI still targeting Americans who are pro-life?"
KASH: "Nobody is targeting anyone for their beliefs."
"Is the FBI still cooking the books on crime data?"
KASH: "The crime data is real."
"Is the FBI still purging agents for conservative viewpoints?"
KASH: "No one at the FBI is asked their viewpoints on politics."
"Is the FBI still labeling the Betsy Ross Flag, of the American Revolution, a 'hate symbol?'"
KASH: "No."
"Well, maybe that's why you've been able to - what was the number, 23,000 bad guys you've arrested? A HUGE increase from the same time period in the previous administration? I think you said 1,400 predators? 4,000 children rescued?"
"Maybe when you're not focused on politics, you can focus on what the FBI is supposed to do - GO GET THE BAD GUYS!" @FBIDirectorKash@Jim_Jordan
@generalorthomd@olsonplanner “Pretty” general. Not quite “very” general 😉 Sports focus but lots of arthroplasty + trauma. My main reason for pursuing my fellowship was to see how a successful rural orthopaedic practice was run. If there was a “middle of nowhere orthopaedics” fellowship I’d have done that!
Dear Delegates,
At this point, you likely know me so I will skip the introduction and jump straight to my message.
The Utah GOP is an independent political party. In their desire to influence elections and policy in Utah, our predecessors determined that a united front is more effective than individual activism, so the Utah GOP was formed. We have a Constitution, Bylaws, and a platform that define our party. We have a State Central Committee, a State Executive Committee, a chair, vice chair, secretary, and a treasurer. We have state committees and county chapters with their own leadership and committees. We have local precincts, county delegates, and state delegates. All of this forms what we hope will be an effective organization which can affect elections, legislation, policy, the selection of candidates, etc., etc.
The Utah GOP has four times more registered members than the next largest party in Utah. We are a super, super majority.
Yet, we find that our party is infiltrated with those who do not respect the GOP, who do not accept our platform, and who are actively trying to undermine our caucus system.
The parasitic elite that have determined to buy all the influence they can in Utah should find no quarter with the Utah GOP. Lobbyists and special interests are the bane of our republican form of government and will be the death of the caucus system.
It is no wonder that our caucus system is under attack. It is the antithesis of an autocracy or an oligarchy. As created by our founding fathers, our republican form of government was to prevent plunder by tyrants, not facilitate it.
Yet, here we are, looking not to our members for direction, but to the Lt. Governor’s office, or the legislature, or the governor who is looking to the Carnegie Institute in the form of the National Governors Association.
We have a choice to make on May 17, at the State Organizing Convention. Do we want to continue to bow to the money and power, or do we want to stand for a republican form of government where just power is derived by the consent of the governed.
Please choose wisely. There is so much at stake and the Republican party needs to be the influence for good that it was created to be.
If you agree, please consider casting a vote for me as Utah State Republican Party Chair on May 17th.
Very sincerely,
Phil Lyman
