It was a great honor and pleasure to meet with Dr. Aziza Geleta, Director General of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She is a kind, diligent, and highly dedicated professional. I wish her continued success and every good fortune as she proudly represents our country.
Warmest congratulations to Dr. Najiib Abdi, my mentor. You are definitely a wise and hardworking man, and I am thrilled about your achievement. Once again, congrats on your doctorate. 👏👏👏
Today, we inaugurated two projects in Awbarre District of Faafan Zone: 1) Awbarre Technical and Vocational Training College (built with a total cost of 218 million Birr); and 2) Sheed-dheer Boarding School (built with a total cost of 138 million Birr). Sheed-dheer Boarding School is already providing service, while Awbarre TVET College will start operations at the start of the new fiscal year, i.e., September 2026.
Sheed-dheer Boarding School is one of 11 Boarding schools constructed by Somali Regional State after the 2018 political reform. The region now has a total of 18 boarding schools, and the objective is to use these institutions to improve the quality of education in the region.
We also visited 3 ongoing projects in the district (namely, Awbarre water supply project, Sheed-dheer water supply project, and Awbarre primary hospital), all of which are planned to be completed within six months. These water and health projects are implemented with a total cost of around 1.2 billion Birr.
It was an honor to host the respected and peace advocate,Chief @Ahmed_Nabaddoon. We shared memorable moments visiting beautiful places and historic sites and meeting wonderful people. Welcome again, Chief Ahmed. The journey was accompanied by esteemed colleague, Dir, @KMuhyadiin
Sudan’s war is no longer merely a struggle for state power—it is rapidly evolving into the fragmentation of the state itself. As external actors deepen their rivalries through proxies, Sudan risks transforming into a patchwork of externally conditioned fiefdoms competing over territory, resources, and strategic corridors.
The article argues that the real danger is not simply state collapse, but the emergence of a permanently fragmented geopolitical order in the Horn of Africa.

It was indeed a pleasure to receive your excellence. Kabridahar, like most other cities in the region, has immensely been transformed and benefited from the political reform you have spearheaded across the region.
Today,we had the pleasure of visiting #ShabeleyResort &warmly welcoming Amb. @meigague Dir. of Health & Social Development at IGAD, together with the Governor of Tadjourah,🇩🇯 Abass, It was an honor to host such distinguished leaders and strengthen regional friendship &cooperation
#IGAD Health and Social Development Division, in partnership with the Government of Ethiopia and local authorities, is hosting a regional peer learning visit in Jijiga. The event convenes mayors, UN agencies, and partners from across the Intergovernmental Authority on Development region to exchange experiences and strengthen cooperation on durable solutions for displacement.
Speaking on behalf of Executive Secretary, H.E. Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, Amb @meigague, Director of the @IGADHealthS, emphasized that cities and local authorities are on the frontlines of responding to displacement—ensuring access to essential services, promoting social cohesion, protection, and socio-economic inclusion.
The event highlights Jijiga’s experience in addressing displacement driven by conflict, climate shocks, and urbanisation through innovative, inclusive approaches. Over three days, participants will discuss urbanization, service access, protection, and partnerships, alongside field visits and recommendations to strengthen regional cooperation and inclusive urban policies.
It has been an incredibly productive week, full with high-level meetings and bilateral engagements.
1. As part of the technical team for the Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project, I joined my colleague from the Roads Bureau, Mr. Idris Musa, along with Ethiopia’s technical secretariat led by Hon. Dhenge Boru, State Minister for Transport. We met with our Kenyan counterparts, IGAD, and the World Bank. Speaking on behalf of SRS team, I reaffirmed the importance of the project to our communities and the commitment to support it with our all to ensure its success.
2. I also participated in the EU-Ethiopia Forum, where I shared the stage with Eva Junyent from the EU Delegation to Ethiopia and Sander Van Kooten from the European Investment Bank. I made a strong pitch for investment opportunities in the Somali Region and highlighted the various de-risking tools available for interested foreign investors.
3. I have also held a series of side meetings with scores of European companies - some are already in Ethiopia's market and seeking to expand their presence, and others exploring new entry into the market - all which have shown concrete interest particularly to Somali region opportunities.
4. Finally, we have warmly received a high-level Kenyan delegation in Jigjiga, led by H.E. Hon. Mohamed Aden Khalif, Governor of Mandera County. The visit was a great opportunity to strengthen ties between our two governments — essentially one people separated only by an imaginary border.
@GaltconMikias@Mustafe_M_Omer Simply put, if you want to discuss, do so respectfully without insults. TPLF were mafia group in the Ethiopian state's history. They did the worst human atrocities in the Somali region including Dhagahmadow, Gunagado, and Fik…..In the Oromia Guliso, Aira, Genji….continue
Insularity, arrogance, and playing victim are the most defining characteristics of the militarist TPLF and its cohorts. The very same ethnocratic clique that murdered millions of Ethiopians in its brutal 27 years of misrule, that conducted systematic human rights violations bordering ethnic cleansing in Somali Region, and that ransacked and raped Amhara civilians 5 years ago, often talk about “Tigray genocide”, without any shame or regret. The day justice is finally served, the worst offenders of human rights will be those who, today, are pointing fingers at others.
@Jigjigamedia President Mustafa is a motor, radical, and pillar of prosperity party. He is the owner of this party, and he will conduct this nation one day and nobody can cease him from achieving his vision and ambitions.
@SirakBahlbi President Mustafa is a motor, radical, and pillar of prosperity party. He is the owner of this party, and he will conduct this nation one day and nobody can cease him from achieving his vision and ambitions.
@SirakBahlbi This audio was from a long time ago for the TPLF war and it was an analysis at that time. however how do u consider and cite what is called ethio-forum, it became a scrap and fabricated shop.
Larijani’s replacement will be appointed by IRGC. With every assassination U.S. and Israel engineering greater radicalization of Iran’s leadership. It will makes for a bleak future for Iran, Iranians, the region and ultimately makes it far more difficult for U.S. to disentangle itself from endless conflict in the region.
They lied and said Iran had nukes or were close to having nukes.
And of course Iran didn’t which is why the US and Israel were able to bomb Iran so easily today.
You know who does have nukes? North Korea. And the US will never dare attack Kim.
This is a recipe for more nukes.
