@WoolworthTaylor C.S. Friedman's Coldfire Trilogy (which is... somewhere between science fiction and fantasy) takes place in a very distant future and uses "vulk" as a curse. Simple and plausible, and it really rolls of the tongue.

Sounds pretty vulking good to me.

Which is to say I'm busy with a mass conversion project of one of my original stories - The City of the Chimera - to ensure the sequel (which has been mostly done for a number of months) makes sense.
