John1:1 In The beginning was the Word and the word was with God and the Word was God.
So, for Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be the glory forever! Romans11:36

“The memorial before us is powerful, because it sets the truth in stone and protects it from the heartlessness of time, by instructing the living. It is not a validation, because none is needed. But it will stand as a mark of respect for the dignity of Rwandans and our history.” President Kagame | Inauguration of Monument in Paris honouring the victims of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi.
“Sports, necessarily unifies people. In Rwanda’s case, we have seen a lot of benefits. We can see how it has increased numbers in tourism, people who want to come to Rwanda, people come for conferences, they come for events like this. It comes to choices you make, it comes to mindset as well.
When countries come together, when leagues come together, when people come together, the benefits are multiplied by a much bigger factor. You don’t want to have such a good thing isolated in one region or one country. The more people that work together, that come together, it forms a much bigger market that makes sense of everything you are doing.” President Kagame speaking on the transformative power of sports investment during @theBAL Investors Summit
𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄: The Monetary Policy Committee has decided to increase the CBR to 8.25 percent. The Committee considers this level appropriate to help steer headline inflation back toward 5 percent over the medium term. It also noted that upside risks to the inflation outlook at the global, regional, and domestic levels require close monitoring and continued policy caution.
The MPC will continue to monitor economic conditions closely and is committed to ensuring a return to the 5 percent inflation objective in the medium term.

At the Africa’s Nuclear Energy Investment Case plenary during #NEISA2026, leaders from the World Bank, African Development Bank, and Trade and Development Bank Group examined the financial, regulatory, and infrastructure requirements needed to unlock investment in Africa’s nuclear energy future.
Discussions focused on the importance of long-term planning, financially sustainable utilities, regional power integration, and credible regulatory systems capable of supporting large-scale energy infrastructure across the continent.
Kevin Kariuki, Vice President for Power, Energy, Climate and Green Growth at the African Development Bank, noted that Africa’s energy demand is expected to double by 2040, driven by industrialisation, urbanisation, and population growth, requiring approximately $100 billion in annual energy investment.
Eric Fernstrom, Regional Director for Infrastructure at the World Bank, emphasized that nuclear projects cannot be viewed in isolation, but must be integrated into broader electricity market reforms, power sector viability, and long-term economic planning frameworks.
The panel also explored the importance of government support mechanisms, long-term financing structures, and institutional capacity in creating bankable nuclear projects capable of attracting both public and private investment.
As discussions continue in Kigali, #NEISA2026 remains focused on advancing practical pathways to finance, develop, and deploy sustainable nuclear energy solutions across Africa.

“Nuclear energy is increasingly recognised as part of the clean energy transition and that creates new opportunities. What Africa cannot afford is fragmentation. If countries work in isolation, progress will be slow and far more costly. Cooperation on regulation, financing, and regional power integration is essential. This is precisely why NEISA matters.
We are moving the conversation beyond ambition to practical coordination, and financing mechanisms that can sustain deployment at scale. Rwanda will continue supporting these efforts, because this is larger than any one country.” President Kagame | Nuclear Energy Innovation Summit for Africa (NEISA) 2026 - Opening Ceremony
Day 1 of #NEISA2026 brought together Heads of state, global industry experts, development partners, regulators, investors, and innovators for high-level discussions on the future of nuclear energy in Africa.
The day featured the Official Opening Ceremony, strategic plenary sessions, investment dialogues, exhibition tours, partnership engagements, and key Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) signings focused on advancing cooperation, innovation, financing, and nuclear energy development across the continent.
The evening concluded with a high-level networking dinner at The Pinnacle, where delegates and stakeholders continued discussions on collaboration, investment opportunities, and Africa’s long-term energy future.

The real work of gender equality begins at home - in the assumptions we have never stopped to question. Anyone who believes in equality but has never reflected on the structures inside their own mind has not yet done the hard work. This is the @ASG_Africa mindset.
Rwanda is making progress towards adding nuclear power to its energy mix. An IAEA Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review (INIR) mission recently visited Rwanda to assess the country’s progress in developing the infrastructure needed for a safe, secure and sustainable nuclear power programme.
Rwanda aims to have nuclear power supply 60–70% of its energy mix, with its first SMR expected to be operational in the early 2030s.
The mission’s recommendations will help Rwanda further strengthen its nuclear infrastructure and advance its readiness to introduce nuclear power in line with international safety standards and global best practices.
