Any companies in #Seattle looking for a software developer?
Not a number. I have 20 YEARS of development experience.
20 years HTML/CSS/JS
14 years Linux/NGINX/Apache
12 years PHP/MySQL
6 years Postgres/PostGIS
A year of Node
Learning RISC-V ASM rn too (unrelated)
Some college
And not PHP 4, XHTML 1.1, or a potato... I'm talking Laravel, Symfony, HTML5, ES6. experience with real frameworks, APIs, design patterns, various philosophies, and standards.
@alexhalltweet Javascript, 100%. First raw JS, then @nodejs, then maybe @vuejs .
Once you know NodeJS, learn @MongoDB .. and a SQL database like Postgres with PostGIS extensions! Or, just MySQL to start. Baby steps.
Learning how to use Git, Docker, and NGINX can't hurt either.
I spy a SiFive board at @ElectronicDesgn! 👀 Our upcoming #RISCV development system will build on the legacy of the HiFive boards that have helped drive the growth of the RISC-V ecosystem, so stay tuned to learn more. https://t.co/0eUAXOfUPg
@UPSjobs Six years at @TheUPSStore helped me overcome childhood poverty and raise my brother.
Finally in WA now, ready to prove I'm a developer. Loyal 1st to UPS 👍
I wrote https://t.co/mdrI40jZ3H , https://t.co/mUxzqtivxl (full-stack LNPP, Laravel, REST) on cafe wifi and beans
@ResearchFirst3 @carriemarcott@POTUS ... "feloneous" - like a felony.. (just ridiculous wording.. the government, even when in the wrong, cannot be charged with a criminal offense like a felony)
Overall, you can and should state your disagreements over legislation on its merits, but this is immature and weak.
@ResearchFirst3 @carriemarcott@POTUS I heard a lot of serious words, with no exact meaning beyond the rhetorical. First off, saying "asshole" doesn't usually endear unbiased people to you... also "the law" (think you mean bill)... "violates the Constitution" (how? which clause?)... (1/2)
@jdale610@carriemarcott@POTUS Yes and no... the local and state levels have the most corruption, as its easier to get by with, so the law needs to be universal (federal). But the executive branch is potentially dangerous as well. Your explanation misses the mark.. its like driving a car without sitting in it.
@RNCResearch@POTUS Correction:
For decades, Republicans have bypassed the filibuster to push through conservative judges.
Now they have completely flipped!
@carriemarcott@POTUS Brush up on the basics of law... particularly the difference between statutory law, administrative law, and common law. The legislature is the only way we can protect voting rights, given that the conservative Supreme Court majority has washed their hands of it.
@David_Charts@POTUS This is the problem with Democrats. They are always perfectly fine losing so long as the record is set straight.
What would be refreshing is rising to the moment to confront right-wing fascism, you know, seeing as failure means the end of American liberty.
@Reuters With all due respect, we voted for Biden for more than Trump losing. We expected some fixing of the tragic state of the union that led us to Trump to begin with. It's went from 10 trillion to 5... to 2.5.. to 1.7.. and they still "need to break it up." How about they grow a pair?
