@shanegilchrist Hi Shane 🙂 I think it makes sense for the NRCPD to categorise language professionals by qualification rather than by deaf/hearing identity, however, I agree there needs to be a way to search specifically for deaf members of the registers. It's frustrating that we can't.
@MBSLI@OlliePersey@gardencourtlaw@drcastone @NaomiBearne Hi Matthew, will the online element be recorded? I won't be able to join live but will register for access to a recording if that's available. Thanks.
@kernowandy@AH_Mcr@NadiaNadarajah It's a 140-odd page report. I asked for a page number. I've seen the data on page 109 and it doesn't support what you said. Thought you were trying to help me out?!
I'm so proud to share that I had the honour to be Called to the Irish Bar by the Chief Justice of Ireland, Donal O'Donnell, at the Supreme Court & be the first Deaf person in Ireland to achieve this milestone and the first to use #IrishSignLanguage throughout my practice.
Sad, confused and upset that the @NDCS_UK have excluded me as a person born profoundly deaf and publish a story about a boy who lost his hearing aged three due to meningitis. My family and I have fund raised for a long time for the NDCS and I feel very disappointed. @SusanNDCS
As a profession, we know that simply booking interpreters isn't enough. Please, let's do better and be the collegiate community we like to think we are.
Absolutely delighted that this paper on 'deaf professionals' perceptions of 'trust' in relationships with sign language interpreters' has now been published! It was great to work on this project led by @DrDaiJestive & with fellow deaf academics @gab_hodge @soaringsan@rejadam

@TheKatPearson @EmmaMcQuillan17 @tompearson Starling sounds a lot like Mettle (owned by NatWest). I think you can also get FreeAgent for free if you open a Mettle account. I don't think there's a monthly fee either.
