How lucky am I to get to work with this amazing group of rad oncs and medical physicists?! Here we are at the play “The Half-Life of Marie Curie”. We tip the scales here in COS, with 80% of our physician group and 60% of our physicists female! #WeWhoCurie#WomenWhoCurie@curadonc
We are adding to our wonderful #radonc team in Colorado Springs, which includes Drs @KaleighDokeMD, Jeff Olsen, Jane Riding, and Mackenzie Daly--it's a great opportunity, please have a look:

It has been so much fun to travel & see some #WomenWhoCurie that I consider great friends. Apparently there is an unspoken bond after being @ARRO_org Chair 😆. Could not leave out one of our fearless faculty advisors as well!
@KenOlivierMD@TedLasso Omg I LOVE Ted Lasso. Did you catch all the KC BBQ shirts they were wearing? #ileftmyheartinkc I miss the BBQ so much, but the mountains almost make up for it.
Our next virtual event will be an informal Fireside Chat on the Job Search with recent graduates! All are welcome to come and ask questions! Please sign up here: https://t.co/9oqQxJQpez to receive the Zoom link and pre-submit questions! #WomenWhoCurie#MedEd#RadOnc
We recommend the ABR allow DR/IR/RO residents in good standing to take 12 wks of family/medical leave (+4 wks vacation/yr), take Exams on time and graduate without extension of training, with additional leave to be considered by PD on a case by case basis.

Agree! I think all resident programs should publicize their parental leave policies (👉🏼all should HAVE one). Resident applicants shouldn’t have to ask at an interview! Hopefully the @ABR_Radiology proposal means no longer having to argue for appropriate leave- it’s exhausting
Importantly, they have no jurisdiction to mandate this leave as a minimum across training programs, but they do hope this helps individuals argue* for this amount if desired.
*Resident applicants are well served to investigate explicit parental leave policies prior to rank list.
I really appreciated the opportunity to “sit at the table” during such an important discussion. Thank you ABR for creating space for open Q&A. I learned a lot!
For those who couldn’t make it, here are a few high points, as I understood them.
Why yes, I would love to provide input! Creating a standard parental leave policy for residents is a critical step in the right direction, let’s make sure it’s a fair and good one. I probably know a few others who could provide some input as well... @S_W_R_O@ARRO_org
ICYMI- watch the @RadOncVVPN where key players discuss the Match and the future of #radonc. Why is med student interest declining and what do we do about it? What’s the deal with the job market? Should programs SOAP? How do we better our training programs? Thx for tuning in!
You asked for it*, we'll give it! Tune in April 1st 4pmPT/7pmET to hear folks you never expected to share a stage discuss the existential implications of the 2021 #radonc Match & lots more! livestreaming at https://t.co/fqPE8UfGtk
*ok, maybe you didn't ask, but you get it anyway
We* bungled the upload before, but an outstanding discussion of ORATOR is now online...@drdavidpalma@nicholslab1 Palma + Nichols star in the VVPN Hollywood North Episode: https://t.co/jswQ4JnPEJ
