Today, UC Irvine was the proud host of the AAPM SoCal Chapter's 2025 Norm Baily Awards and MedPhys Slam. The event featured an insightful keynote address by Dr. Charles Limoli, focusing on the radiobiology of deep space travel and FLASH radiotherapy. The resident and student presentations showcased exceptional talent, with UCI resident Jiayi Liu clinching the first prize in the Norm Baily Resident Competition.

A big thank you goes out to the AAPM SoCal leadership team, including Zhilei Liu Shen, PhD, DABR, Steve Goetsch, Marianne Plunkett, and many other dedicated individuals. It was truly a successful and enriching gathering.
