For thirty years and more, I looked at Miria Matembe with utmost respect. Even when she was too loud or too bold, I had nothing but respect for her. She spoke her mind with people's interests at heart. She never changed. She is a treasure we must protect. A national treasure. A woman of character. A fighter for a better Uganda. A voice of wisdom and reason. Wherever she is, I hope she is safe and protected. Because, honestly, if Miria Matembe ends up in jail, we will lose the last crumbs of decency as a country.
Uganda doesn't need intern doctors.
Mothers have been giving birth since Genesis.
The cervix knows what to do. The placenta has never read a textbook and has always figured it out. Postpartum haemorrhage is simply the body being dramatic.
If the baby is not breathing, pray. It has worked before.
We have testimonies.
And this 70% of healthcare services they claim to provide in public facilities, frankly, that number sounds exaggerated.
Surely the walls are doing something. The benches. The relatives who sleep under the bed and remind the patient to breathe.
Uganda's healthcare system is a community effort. Interns are simply taking the credit. For nothing.
TELL YOUR SONS ABOUT MENSTRUATION.
Tell them periods are okay and normal. Explain to them what crumps are. Don’t tell them that pads are bread or biscuits, they are pads. Tell them about empathy when girls stain their clothes in public, etc.
TALK TO YOUR SONS ABOUT PERIODS. 🙏🏽
Good morning guys.
I have 3 plates of chicken stew still available today, each at 15,000.
You can choose to have it with fried rice or chapati.
Kindly DM or call 0776640637 if you’d like to place an order!
I think whoever in the NRM advised the president to hold a Presidential address at the same time as the Presidential Debate did the country a huge disservice.
You made sure that a good number of people missed the opportunity to see and hear from the candidates involved in the 2026 race. You also denied many of us who watched the debate the opportunity to watch our President because we had to choose between the Debate or the Address. The President was addressing Youth Concerns - something that a huge chunk of the country is directly affected by. Now we've missed that.
Whatever rubbish these Presidential Candidates are spewing, the country needs to see it. And whatever nuggets of wisdom the president is sharing, we all need to benefit from them.
Candidate Museveni had/has every right to not attend the debate, it's his prerogative. But the least he and his camp could do is respect the process of Civic engagement. If you can't be a part of it, at least don't sabotage it by having a parallel event.
If you're truly an advocate for democracy & civic awareness, you know a presidential debate is important. To not take part is acceptable. To sabotage it is unfortunate. Making sure people don't watch the debate says a lot about how much you want to use ignorance to push your agenda.
NRM, please do better.
Found a place near home where I can just print out my phone photos (the clear ones) for a small price. I’m going to make my guests view piles of photo albums when they visit🥹 We are so back!😩
Even though security agencies pretended to behave today, behind the scenes they were wreaking havoc.
Cameras caught them brutalizing our supporters in Masaka. You can tell that these fellows enjoy inflicting pain on people!
EXPOSING THE EC’S GHOST VOTERS
When you place the @UgandaEC own numbers side by side, the fraud becomes undeniable.
REGIONAL TOTAL (summed region by region):
📌 23,355,062 voters
NATIONAL TOTAL (EC summary):
📌 21,681,491 voters
DIFFERENCE:
❗ 1,673,571 voters NOT ACCOUNTED FOR
The EC cannot explain:
– How Uganda has 23.3 million voters in the regions,
– But only 21.6 million in the national register,
– Leaving 1.6 million ghost voters floating around the system.
These are not typing errors.
These are not coincidences.
This is deliberate inflation of the register, the same formula that has kept a dictatorship in power.
Ugandans deserve transparent elections —
not a recycled spreadsheet of ghost voters.
@UgandaEC why do you wants to rig our votes? Where is the 1.6 million voters are ?
So @DailyMonitor dedicated a whole three pages of the Sunday Monitor to sharing my life journey with the world
Please help me appreciate them 😊
Thank you so much Daily Monitor and nation media group, I’m so grateful 🙏🏼

Today we held Presidential campaign rallies in Nyendo–Mukungwe and Kimanya–Kabonera Constituencies in Masaka City.
Despite heavy security deployment and intimidation, the people of Masaka city showed up in large numbers, in solidarity with the message of change.

I have a year's supply of (print) newspapers; two editions daily. 🤦🏿♀️ My dad's consumption. 😊
It's that time of the year again when I don't know what to do with them. 😅
If you buy old newspapers, please reach out and take them.
Our second rally in Kimanya Kabonera came to an end. We’ve been greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of change yearning supporters. We have charged them to be steadfast as we peacefully face off with the repressive regime. Masaka is one of the coffee producing regions, but the people have painfully endured poor infrastructure especially in the city outskirts. The social services are also lacking in terms of quality, and another major social problem is unemployment of our young people in this area. We have rallied them to vote for NUP leaders across all electoral levels if we are to walk to the New Uganda together. Thank you Masaka. We are grateful. Mwebale nyo banabuddu!

We are at 3,558,825
We thank you all. They said Twitter(X) is a toxic community but waaaaaaaaaa send that 15k lets make a statement days Goal broken. We can still make 4m fam
You know, I used to feel frustrated with women who said things like this, until I remembered that I once said them too. (I even had to comb through my social media to delete them)
We have to be gentle with ourselves and each other because unlearning the beliefs we were conditioned to accept as women takes time. Some women start that journey early, others take a little longer, and some may never get there; which is sad but 🥹
What matters is that we hold some space, compassion, and patience for the women who are still unlearning.🙏🏽
After the murder, and brutalizing of our comrades in Iganga yesterday by security agencies, we don’t know what awaits us as campaigns continue.
But we’ll keep pressing on, because press on we must!
MASAKA…tujja!!
