It's amazing when ICU sends an extra nurse down, even for a couple hours for the ICU pts in the ED. Makes a huge difference... rounds and the Colab we've had with ICU has helped bridge this gap.

Resource poor settings have to be the most creative at times. The RNs at Sunnybrook(project site) do a fantastic job considering some days they have at least 1 intubated pt and 2 unstable pts in a 4:1 assignment. They're hard workers, and provide excellent care.

@ResusTonight @laxswamy @DGlaucomflecken I sure hope so! In our pre-survey 83% of ED nurses found the plan of care for the ICU patients not clear. Where as 84% of doc's found the plan of care very clear. Communication gaps!

Doc's sometimes have to ask for the nurses too. It's a collaborative effort 🙌

Our goal was to improve patient care and team communication + time to oral intake (our ICU pts LOS: 48hrs+ @ ED). Results in attached jpeg 🤘DM me for specifics
