5. SADNESS: Marriage does not make one happy. If two sad people enter into it with hopes of finding happiness, they will never find it. Marriage should be a union of 2 people who have found joy in the God of their salvation already!

4. FINANCIAL HELP: Marriage is not a source of income or path to prosperity and wealth. Work is.

3. IMMIGRATION: A marriage certificate is not a visa to developed countries. Your life will not be better just because you got married to a foreigner in order to immigrate to their country.

2. PREGNANCY: Many women are afraid of raising a child alone or with a man who is not the father of the child. Just because you are pregnant for someone doesn't mean they should be your spouse.

1. LONELINESS: Marriage does not cure loneliness. A lonely person before marriage may end up being so after marriage.
