Me and my colleagues were invited by Italian ambassador Damiano Francovigh to the insightful lecture given by Prof. Fulvio Irace on the work of Artist/ Architect Alessandro Mendini to mark the Italian Design Day! It was great connecting with the Italian Embassy and Prof. Irace ☺️

Recieving a token of appreciation for moderating a panel discussion at the SLIA National Conference 2024… I was excited to find that it was ‘Ini’, book on the work of Archt. Vijitha Basnayake, edited by my mentor Dr. Milinda Pathiraja… I feel so honored to receive this gift. ☺️

I met Prof. Nihal quite by chance at the Minette de Silva exhibition at the @mmcasrilanka while on a guided tour with my students. It was wonderful to meet in person someone whom I’ve met through his writings (Decolonizing Ceylon, People’s spaces, Critical vernacularism etc.) 1/3

No comment regarding the unrelated information offered. I stand by my position regarding society being a safer place. I think the public response points to more poignant issues.

@kulanthisilva I am not celebrating his death. (I will celebrate when the political culture that he represented dies.) I also won’t go out of my way to reprimand the defeated, long suffering people of Sri Lanka for their lack of moral superiority.
