Murray Mandryk: Saskatchewan MLAs provide close to the worst value-for-money — Except for a handful of politicians on the east coast, Saskatchewan politicians are the most overpaid in the country.

@saskedchat Ready to go! I can’t wait to see the students again and start a great year of learning. I am very grateful for five days of organization and motivation time provided by @horizonsd205 having the staff together to get set is so powerful. Happy start up #SaskEdChat
SDLC is receiving $57M and are projecting to have ~2000 FTE students.
Other SK school divisions with the same budget have twice the number of students and provide transportation over large geographical areas…
These are clear political choices.
@saskedchat A6. Listen to others, see gaps that need to be filled, share ideas, make plans and be brave. Schools are a great place to invite community in as well as to take students out to participate in the community. We are so blessed to be in a small town! #SaskEdChat
@kellywchris I think sometimes with think technology means one on one tool. It can be a YouTube clip, a sound clip, virtual speaker or field trip. We can access these who class and weave them into our lessons. So rich! #SaskEdChat
@vendi55 A5. Yes, technology balances out learning, provides so many entry points for students to take in ideas as well as share them. I find being able to use multiple tools in my classrooms is the great equalizer. #SaskEdChat
@saskedchat A4. Model behavior, be gentle and accept where students are at with the the expectation that we are always gentle and learning. I always just remind the students to be a good human. It’s pretty simple. #SaskEdChat
@KarenBWard@saskedchat Always changing what I’m exposing students to, most often it is guided by who they are. Such a great way to connect with student and ideas. #SaskEdChat
@technolandy I really try to present different perspectives without pushing my own opinions. Of course I am very aware that I am the curriculum just by what I choose to present. I have to be very aware of my own bias and beliefs. #SaskEdChat
“For every $1 invested, the K-12 education system generates more than $4 of economic activity in the province. What a great return on investment for so many reasons"@SaskSchoolBoard President on why education funding NEEDS to be seen as an investment. Not an expense.
“An irresponsible misrepresentation” is how @SaskSchoolBoard President @JaimieSW described @SKGov’s messaging of the provincial budget and funding for public education.
Teachers, parents, and board members must all stand together and demand more from this government.
