@no1089 This a custom controller I designed that is 3D printed and uses steam deck electronics! It works on PC as a wired controller, just like it would on the steamdeck!
@75Theskywa3313@mewtate@redherring32@WeskMods Unfortunately, the files aren't in a place where I feel good about releasing them. I don't want people to waste time or money trying to 3D print my files thinking that they'll fit perfectly. The 2DS is (unintuitively) very challenging to model, and the last 20% is 80% of the work
In addition to the 3DS XL, I've also been reverse engineering the original 2DS shell! This shell will be printable with FDM, so I made my own Gen 6 version, printed by the talented (and patient) @redherring32. 3D scans from @WeskMods on the bitbuilt forums helped with the design
I'm very happy with one of my latest projects, reverse engineering the 3DS XL shell! I'm planning on recreating the clear prototype unit that was shown off almost exactly 12 years ago! So far, the 3D printed shells fit very well, I just need to get an actual unit to test with
@mewtate@redherring32@WeskMods Have you tried using Wesk's 3D scans?: https://t.co/QEm4bq42B7
My files aren't ready yet, but the scan's might suffice for 3D printing, depending on what you're looking for
@_Jason_Herrmann I've made progress on the electronics, but its on pause for a bit while I work on other projects. Cool to see others working on keyboard controller related projects too!
Because of difficulties getting resin parts, I've temporarily switched to design projects that I can print in FDM at home. One such project: a custom Gamecube Keyboard Controller! The shell is 3D printed, but I plan on creating a complete replacement!
Bit of a long shot, but does anyone have a Louvre new 3DS XL that they wouldn't mind taking some caliper measurements of? It has some unique parts that I'd love to include in a version of my reverse engineered shell 3D models!
π₯³π’After 4 years of hard work, we (LNH-team) are proud to announce that DSpico, our open-source flashcart for the DS(i), is officially released!

The one thing I couldn't test was the cap (because I don't have one). If you find that it doesn't fit the cap, let me know and I'll try to fix it. Thanks!
Want to be able to customize a VMU with a 3D printed shell? I decided to reverse engineer the shell a while back and I wanted to post the files so that people can use them!
My design is based off of hand measurements and 3D scan references made by @WeskMods on the Bitbuilt forums. Inspired by @YveltalGriffin, who released reversed engineered Dreamcast Controller STEP files!
I created 3D printable versions of the Nintendo store Gamecube Controller Gashapon Keychains! You can get the print files from my Printables: https://t.co/oP8qfgoZBA
Or Consider ordering them from my PCBWay project page: https://t.co/cXHedfPjWb
