Exciting news! @j_pedneault is set to return as co-leader of the Green Party of Canada! Pending member vote ratification, he will officially join @ElizabethMay to lead the Canadian Greens into the 2025 Election. Big plans are on the horizon, stay tuned! 👀
It's confirmed Ontario is going to the polls again and the @OntarioGreens are ready.
Doug Ford is putting his job before your job, but we're ready to fight for a fairer Ontario.
We're ready to build the homes Ontarians need.
We're ready to make life easier for average people, not the rich and well-connected.
We're ready to protect our nature and our farmland.
Every time Ford has a choice between people and profits, he chooses profits – leaving the rest of us behind.
Ontario Greens are working to build a better Ontario every single day.
Ford's blew up his majority government 8 days before Trump may impose 25% tariffs. At a time that we needed to stand together, Ford forced us to focus on what divides us, calling an election not due for 17 months.

It’s classic delay, deny, distract tactics from industry & captured govt ^js https://t.co/enrtbGoZdo
Thank you @Eli_ElChantiry for a wide-ranging & insightful talk about coming to Canada, succeeding in business, settling in West Carleton & 20 years of service as a Councillor facing challenges including flooding, tornadoes & the convoy occupation. ^js
Join us Tuesday evening to hear from Eli El-Chantiry, former Ottawa City Councillor for West Carleton–March. 7pm @ Mlacak Centre in #Kanata ^js https://t.co/k9gPZ2lRxG
I just voted against this bill.
Ripping up bike lanes won't improve traffic anywhere and will put cyclists' lives at risk.
The other half of this bill will fast-track Highway 413, which will pave over prime farmland and the Greenbelt, ramp up climate pollution, and increase the risk of flooding – all to help a handful of billionaire land speculators.
We need MORE safe and affordable ways to get around, not less. This government just doesn't get it. People’s lives are at risk as a result of this disastrous legislation.
“Two sizeable wetlands — one on either side of Highway 7 — used to be classified as part of the Goulbourn complex, a group of marshes and swamps that stretch across an area west of the suburb of Stittsville.” ^js https://t.co/2lFTvpMXsw
“By the numbers, the 2024 wildfire season is on track to be the second-worst wildfire season in terms of area burned since 1995, with more than 5.3 million hectares burned so far.” ^js https://t.co/SLHVBhJDfK
"According to the report, there was foreign interference in the Conservative Party leadership race. If I were Mr Poilievre, I would want to know. […] His unwillingness to pursue that is worrying."
Today marks four years since the Liberals promised "a Canada Disability Benefit modeled after the GIS" - repeating over and again they would lift hundreds of thousands out of poverty.
In Parliament today I reminded them of this promise, and again called on them to do better.
“The real question — the biggest question confronting Canadian political leaders today — is what governments should do to reduce the emissions that cause #ClimateChange. And that question won't get any smaller if the #CarbonTax goes away.” #CdnPoli ^js
