It is the case not just in Sri Lanka. It is so in Bangladesh , Burma , Pakistan , Nepal. The one common factor that is present in all is the Dalit identity. And in all these countries you will find the Dalits being told to come under some other common identity , either natural or as a personal choice. It is. Fraud being committed on the Dalit community. A pastor in Pakistan, acquitted of a false blasphemy charge, languished in prison for 13 years before tragically dying two days after his release.

Under Pakistan’s draconian blasphemy laws, anyone found guilty of insulting Islam can be sentenced to death.

In June 2024, for instance, a tourist was dragged from a police station and murdered by a mob in north-west Pakistan after being accused of blasphemy. Video of the incident shows the man's body being paraded through the streets and then set alight.

You don't know how hated jains are in Bangalore for noise by of loud 'devotional' music in Hindi cinema tunes. Many Hindu neighbours r unable 2 do Ganesha puja in THEIR OWN homes due to noise. Every time they protest Jains offer 2 buy their properties to 'solve' the problem
