@sneha_risindiva Madam i can challange that next year their IT team Not able to compile New income tax act and get available ITR form on time they will extend due date immediately before time due to their failure
Next year definitely it will going happen just note my word
Can Chartered Accountants protest?
Can MSMEs protest?
More than 50 representations have reportedly been made by professional bodies, associations and stakeholders seeking a reasonable extension of the Tax Audit due date.
People are not asking for an extension because they don't want to work.
People are already working.
They are working long hours.
They are working under tremendous pressure.
They are asking for additional time so that audits can be completed properly, carefully and responsibly - without compromising the quality of work.
The demand is also not unreasonable. The request is to shift the Tax Audit deadline from 30 September to 31 October 2026, thereby creating a more practical compliance calendar.
But now comes the real question:
What if the Government refuses to grant an extension?
Can Chartered Accountants peacefully protest along with taxpayers and MSMEs?
Can professionals collectively raise their voice against a compliance calendar they consider impractical?
Or are CAs expected to simply keep working, keep suffering and remain silent?
Representation is the first step.
Dialogue is the preferred step.
But silence cannot be the only option.
CA associations, MSME associations and taxpayers have every reason to discuss what legitimate, peaceful and lawful collective action may be appropriate if their representations continue to receive no meaningful response.
And beyond this year's extension, we need a permanent solution:
Tax Audit Due Date → 31 October
Audit ITR Due Date → 30 November
A reasonable gap between major compliance deadlines is not a concession.
It is better compliance management.
The objective is not to avoid compliance.
The objective is to do compliance properly.
