@OkiyaOmtatah the same applies to the remote transmission of text results from each polling station by the presiding officer. The transmitted result is a final result and can only be changed by a court of law . iEBC should not hide behind this to not transmits text results thus making tallying a tedious process. The reasons why taxpayers invested in technology is to eliminate this anxiety.

Article 136 of the constitution states

Election of the President.

(a) on the same day as a general election of Members of Parliament, being the second Tuesday in August, in every fifth year; or

From above count of years and Article 136(2)(a); count 5 give second Tuesday of August of 5th year as 11th August 2026.
