Japan has to be home of the most useless point cards in the world. At this cafe, you get a stamp after spending ¥500. After collecting 10 stamps, you get a whopping ¥50 discount! I dont know why I bother.
@yanarchy I definitely second this! I've been in an ambulance here and they don't do anything for you at all. Not even basic first aid. All they did was get my information, call a ton of hospitals and drive me there.
@ieriEriEri@JasnTru There's Tokyo Mother's Group on Facebook...it's not necessarily for multilingual families, but I think most of them are. And it's not only for mothers...dads can join too!
@theyokohamalife Yeah, I did a little research and both are really, really good. Better than the US Roth-IRA and IRA. But as others said, it's not good for US citizens. From what I gathered, the taxes/penalties that the US hits you with make it not worth it, unfortunately.
I've been here for over 20 years and I always get おみまい(hospital visit) and おみあい(marriage matchmaking) mixed up. The looks I get at the hospital when I use the wrong word! Whoops!
